STX Man Charged with Kidnapping

The V.I. Police Department on Monday arrested Alton Pennyfeather, age 51, of no fixed address, and charged him with kidnapping/false imprisonment, domestic violence.

According to the VIPD report, the arrest took place at 5:59 a.m., Jan. 25.

Police said the female victim reported to police that at about 7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 23, Pennyfeather assaulted her, forced her into his vehicle, took her to another location and kept her against her will for several hours.

The victim was eventually able to escape and filed a report.

Pennyfeather was not offered bail, in accordance with the territory’s domestic violence statutes. He was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections, pending his advice of rights hearing.
