Detectives from the V.I. Police Department’s Economic Crimes Unit on Tuesday arrested a St. Croix woman and charged her with grand larceny and other crimes.

According to the police report, at 12:46 p.m. Sept. 22, detectives arrested 30-year-old Tamisha Smith of Sion Hill, on a warrant. She was charged with obtaining money by false pretenses, identity theft, along with grand larceny.

On July 19, 2019, police initiated an investigation of Smith. The report said the investigation showed she knowingly and without consent used a Visa debit card on three different occasions without authorization.

Based bail for Smith was set at $1,000. She posted bail and was released pending her advice of rights hearing.
