STT Woman Reports Rape

A woman reported being sexually assaulted Saturday night on St. Thomas, according to the V.I. Police Department.

At about 7:30 p.m. Sept. 12, the 911 emergency call center sent officers to the emergency room at the Schneider Regional Medical Center in reference to a reported rape.

The victim, whose name was not released in accordance with department policy, described the suspect as a Black male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, heavy built, with an approximate weight of 220 pounds. The victim told officers the suspect wore all black clothing and forced his way into the residence.

The victim reported being physically and sexually assaulted by the suspect.

The V.I. Police Department urged anyone with information about the crime to call 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-714-9801, or anonymously at Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477.
