The V.I. Police Department on Wednesday morning arrested 50-year-old Kyle F. Woods and charged him with third-degree burglary after he turned himself in and admitted burglarizing the V.I. Legislature Building on St. Thomas last month.
According to the police, Woods surrendered himself at about 10:50 a.m. Aug. 12 and admitted to burglarizing the Virgin Islands Legislature building on July 27 by removing lawn equipment from the premises.
He was placed under arrest as a result.
Police issued an appearance ticket to appear at the Richard Callwood Command for his advice of rights hearing.
