Police Investigate Report of Shots Fired

The V.I. Police Department is investigating a report of shots being fired in the early morning Sunday.

According to police, at about 2:10 a.m. July 26 police officers were dispatched to a report of shots being discharged on St Croix.

The complainant told officers that as he drove through the area he heard what he believed to be the discharge of a firearm. Once out of the area, he inspected his vehicle, and found some damage.

Officers responded to the location and continue to investigate.

Police urged anyone with information about the incident to contact 911, the Crime TipLine at 340-778-4950, or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477.
