Shirley M. Peets died on June 26.
The viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m., Saturday, July 25, at Church of God of Prophecy with a service to follow at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery, Smith Bay.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Horace Peets; son, Robert Peets Sr.; daughter, Aleina Edwards; adopted son, Horace Peets; adopted daughter, Glenda Rockrood; brothers: Roland “Spanky” Benjamin and George “Bing” Richards; sister, Joan Well; granddaughters: Janiqua Peets, and Nandi and Nivian Edwards; and grandsons: Robert Jr., Jahsheem, Jahmiah, Jahvon, Kareem, Peets and Najee Edwards.
She is also survived by great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Marie Hodge; great-grandson, Jahmiah Khingzx Peets; cousins: Gloria Caines, Avornell Kuzyk, Kishma and Cherron Pacquette, Doris and Darren Archibald, Arlene Hardy, Therese Ward-Huggins, Clement Browne and Vincent Ward; goddaughters: Ayesha Hyman and Charissa Mathias; and son-in-law, Arthur Edwards.
