The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) Preserving Paradise team advises the community that the Bovoni Landfill will resume the acceptance of green waste and seaweed effective June 26; however, the ban is still in effect for the Anguilla Landfill on St. Croix.

The St. Croix public is asked to hold green waste and seaweed until further notice. VIWMA staff and contractors are working expeditiously to make the necessary adjustments to safely accommodate green waste at the Anguilla landfill.

For more information, contact the Division of Education and Communications Management at 643-0410 or email communications@viwma.org.  Also, follow VIWMA on Facebook, LinkedIn and/or Twitter.
