At least two cars were struck by bullets in a St. Thomas shooting incident the V.I. Police Department said appeared to be a case of road rage.
According to the police, at about 8:25 a.m. Friday the 911 emergency call center dispatched officers to Market Square in Charlotte Amalie on a report of shots fired.
According to the police report, the investigation revealed that an unknown person fired shots at the victim in what appears to be a case of road rage. The victim’s vehicle was impacted by gunshots, as was a parked vehicle in the vicinity.
The report did not indicate that anyone was injured by the shots.
Police classified the case as a third-degree assault.
