First-Degree Robbery Reported in Estate Mariendahl

Just minutes before midnight Friday the V.I. Police Department received a report of a first-degree robbery in Estate Mariendahl on St. Thomas.

According to VIPD, 911 received the call at 11:58 p.m. Friday. The victim told responding officers that he arrived at his residence when an unknown male with a shirt covering his face jumped out of a vehicle and attempted to steal his jewelry. The victim resisted, and three other unknown males with their faces covered exited the same vehicle and pointed handguns at him.

The first suspect then removed the victim’s jewelry, the victim told police, and the suspects left the area in an unknown direction.

Police urged anyone with information about the crime to call to 911, the VIPD at 340-774-2211 or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
