Crime Stoppers USVI is offering a minimum $5,000.00 reward for homicide tips leading to an arrest, as well as double rewards for drug and gun tips through the new year.
The agency urged residents to “give the gift of peace and closure” during the holiday season to families that have lost loved ones.
The VIPD Cold Case Unit is seeking information in the death of Brendalee Melendez Belardo. At about 8:40 a.m. June 2, 2007, VIPD officers were dispatched to the Scenic Road area after receiving reports of a body being found. The body was later identified as Brendalee Melendez Belardo, a 30-year-old resident of Estate Campo Rico, Frederiksted. Investigation revealed that Belardo sustained a single gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
