Police Arrest, Charge Magras

Horace Magras Jr. was arrested Friday evening by the V.I. Police Department and charged with assault and battery in a June 29 domestic violence case.

According to police, at 7:40 p.m. June 29 a woman reported that she had been involved in a physical altercation with Magras and that they were separated by another female, who then also was assaulted by Magras.

She said Magras then began to kick the two females.

Magras on Friday turned himself into police where he was advised of his Miranda Rights. He denied assaulting the two women.

Magras was placed under arrest and charged with simple Assault and battery/domestic violence. He went before the Honorable Judge Darryl D. Donohue for his advice of rights hearing where probable cause was found for his arrest.

His bail was set in the amount of $1,000, and he was released after posting of the bail set.
