Mapp Approves Road Contracts Before Leaving Office

In one of his last acts as governor, Gov. Kenneth Mapp approved six road construction contracts with two contractors totaling close to $5 million, Thursday.

According to Government House, contracts have been executed with Island Roads Corporation for road repairs to Old and New Tutu (McGregor Lane, Poinsettia/Crotan Lane, Palmetto Road and Valley Road/Tamarind Ave.), Frenchtown Road (Route 3016) and Estate Peterborg (Route 352).

Grade All Heavy Equipment Inc was selected to conduct additional road repairs to Perimeter Road, the Turpentine/Nadir Gut Channel Retaining Wall, and Fortuna Bay Road.

According to Government House, the government selected the contractors through a competitive procurement process.
