Two Men Injured in Lindbergh Bay Shooting

Two men were hospitalized Thursday after being shot in the area of Lindbergh Bay Beach, the V.I. Police Department reported.

At bout 10:15 p.m. Thursday officers from the Islands Port Authority were dispatched to the Lindbergh Bay Beach area on a report of two gunshot victims. At the scene the officers found what appeared to be a “pool of blood” in the roadway. They then made contact with two male victims who had sustained gunshot wounds.

One victim sustained a gunshot wound to the facial area. The other victim sustained gunshot wounds to the right shoulder and lower back area. Both victims were transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center and both were in stable condition.

This case is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Police asked anyone with information about the incident to contact the bureau at 340-774-2211, the 911 call center, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
