Viya Customers Experience Service Outages in St. Thomas Due to Fiber Cut

Viya customers at several locations on St. Thomas are experiencing service outages due to a recent fiber cut.

On Monday, Sept. 17, Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (WAPA) contractors severely damaged Viya’s fiber at Beltjen Place. As a result of the damage to the network, customers in the following areas lost connectivity: Beltjen Road, Pollyberg, Sugar Estate and Ross Estate.

Viya’s technical team has been working diligently on this matter and the duration of the outage is a direct result of the severity of the damage. Viya will continue to work on the matter until service is fully restored.
