The Forum to Show ‘The Death of Stalin’ Film May 24

‘The Death of Stalin’ — comedy and political satire

The Forum has announced its 2018 Film Festival will be held at Caribbean Cinemas on May 10, 17 and 24, featuring three award-winning films. All films will be shown at Caribbean Cinemas at Market Square East on St. Thomas and will start at 7 p.m.

Thursday, May 24:  The Death of Stalin. The one-liners fly as fast as political fortunes fall in this hilarious film. The “Death of Stalin” is a 2017 political satire directed and co-written by Armando Iannucci. When tyrannical dictator Joseph Stalin drops dead, his parasitic cronies square off in a frantic power struggle to be the next Soviet leader. “The Death of Stalin” is “one of the funniest films of the 21st century.” – Slash Film. Awards include the British Independent Film Award and the Empire Award for Best Comedy. This film is rated R.
