The VA Caribbean Healthcare System, which provides medical service to U.S. veterans throughout the Caribbean, has ordered all employees to report Friday for a regular working day.
The Emergency Management officials of the system told employees to “be prepared to stay overnight, should you be requested to.”
Headquartered on San Juan, the system has community-based clinics on St.Thomas and St. John.
The workforce that have stayed at the Medical Center throughout the emergency caused by Hurricane Maria need to return home to rest and provide comfort to their families, the officials said in a news release.
“We need your commitment and solidarity which will allow us to continue compliance with our mission to provide the best healthcare to our veterans,” the release said.
