WAPA Working on Water Monday in Anna’s Retreat

The V.I. Water and Power Authority is extending drinking water service to Anna’s Retreat Heights on St. Thomas on Monday, according to the utility.

"We continue to seek out both local appropriations and grant funding to expand our potable water service to residential communities in both districts,” WAPA Executive Director Julio Rhymer said in a statement. “Up to 80 homes will receive potable water service once this project is completed.”

Through the end of January, crews will be installing both 6-inch and 4-inch PVC piping to facilitate the introduction of potable water service to Anna’s Retreat Heights.

Rhymer cautioned that while crews are working, there will be a lane closure in the area, and no parking will be allowed along the roadway. WAPA is asking residents to remove all vehicles from the roadway before Monday.
