Motorists are advised to exercise caution when traversing the Cyril E. King Airport Road due to ongoing road repairs, according to a press release issued Friday by the Virgin Islands Port Authority (VIPA).
The V.I. Department of Public Works began repairs to the King Airport Road on Jan. 20, and work is expected to continue for 60 days.
"Most of the work is conducted at night after the last major airline arrival and should not significantly disrupt traffic to the airport. However, the road conditions are uneven, and we advise motorists to drive slowly as they travel along the road," said Acting Executive Director David Mapp.
The King Airport Road and the repair project are under the jurisdiction of the Department of Public Works. The public may contact DPW at 776-4844 for more information.
