PSC Clarifies New LEAC Base Rates for WAPA

The Public Services Commission (PSC) seeks to clarify information regarding the new Levelized Energy Adjustment Clause (LEAC) and new base rates for the Water and Power Authority (WAPA). The new rates were approved by the commission at the PSC special meeting on Jan. 12, 2017. The Electric LEAC would be effective Feb. 1 through June 30. The Water LEAC would be effective through calendar year 2017.

Current/New/Percentage Change

Electric LEAC: $0.192460 — $0.146603 — decrease 23.8%

Water LEAC: $6.27 — $6.35 — increase 1.2%

Base Rate: $.091599 — $0.150141 — increase 63%
