Daniel Perez Dies at 72

Daniel Perez Daniel Perez, better known as "Papi," died at his residence on Saturday, Oct. 1, at the age of 72.
He is survived by his mother, Hipolita Rivera Perez; daughter, Laurita A. Perez; sons: Daniel J. Perez and Timothy C. Perez; daughter-in-law, Princess V. Perez; grandchildren: Jessica A. Bute and J’Quan R. Hansen; sister, Juanita Rivera; brother: Candido Perez Jr.; brother-in-law, Emeleo Jeppesen; niece, Norma Huntley; ex-wife, Karel Daniel; cousins: Olga Barry, Norma Rivera, Carmen Rivera and Anna Mahoney; special friends: Pedrito Lanclos, Ralph Henley, Johnny Henley, Marvin Turnbull, Denise Jeremiah, Dennis LaPlace, Hector Concepcion, Eddy Harrigan, Emile Daal, Alford Richards, Anselmo Peters, Lowell Armory, Tom “Chihuahua” and Anthony Hatchett; as well as other family and friends too numerous to mention.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the first viewing from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at the Celestial Chapel – Hurley Funeral Home. The second viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, at the Memorial Moravian Church. Interment will be at the Western Cemetery No. 2.
Arrangements are under the care of Hurley Funeral Home and Cremation Center of St. Thomas, St. John, St. Croix and Tortola.
