DRI and Chamber of Commerce to Give Updates on Main Street Project

Downtown Revitalization Inc. (DRI) and The St. Thomas-St. John Chamber of Commerce (COC) are deeply aware and sensitive to the community’s need to have information and updates on the progress of the Main Street Revitalization Project that was initiated by the Government of the Virgin Islands through the Department of Public Works. In this regard, DRI and COC will keep organizations, businesses, individuals and the general community informed through a series of press releases. This is the first release on this project.
DRI and the COC have been notified that Tip Top Construction, the contractors, will conduct sample soil testing from Aug. 10-17 in the area of the I. Levin Building and Enid M. Baa Library. The entire block will be sectioned off and closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Full construction is scheduled to commence on Sept. 18; it will start at Enid M. Baa Library and proceed east to Post Office Square.
As more information is obtained from the Department of Public Works and Tip Top Construction, DRI and the COC will send it out.
