Police Charge Woman with Assault

The V.I. Police Department on Friday arrested Nadelle A. James, 25, of Estate Nadir and charged her in an assault that took place April 29.

According to the police report, officers dispatched by the 911 center met with James in the area of the Cyril E. King Airport, where she was attempting to fly to Dominica via Air Sunshine. She was taken into custody and advised of her rights, charged mayhem and second-degree assault.

James was transported to the Investigation Bureau and turned over to detectives in regards to an assault that took place April 29 in the area of the Illusions Night Club in Barbel Plaza. Police charged her and she was remanded to the Bureau of Correction pending an advice of rights hearing.

Police asked anyone with information regarding the incident to call the Investigation Bureau at 340-774- 2211 ext. 5553, the 911 center or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-84577.
