Man Charged with Destruction of Records

Tashimo Scatliffe, a 33-year-old resident of Contant, was arrested at 3:58 p.m. Wednesday and charged with mutilation and destruction of records, after allegedly altering his police record in an effort to get a job.

According to the V.I. Police Department, Scatliffe obtained a copy of his police records from the VIPD and altered it by deleting his criminal history. Police also said he copied and pasted other information onto his records, then presented the altered records to the Pueblo Supermarket in an effort to gain employment.

Scatliffe was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise of rights hearing.
