Man Stabbed, Refuses to Cooperate

A man was stabbed Saturday afternoon, but refused to offer any explanation or give any information to police officers investigating the case, the V.I. Police Department reported.

At 4:24 p.m. Saturday officers responded to a call from the Schneider Regional Medical Center reporting that a man was being treated for a stabbing wound.

Arriving to the medical facility, the officers met with the 59-year-old man, who refused to cooperate with them. The victim told police he did not want to reveal the name of the individual who stabbed him, did not want the individual to be charged and incarcerated. He refused to give any kind of statement on the matter.

The victim was treated and released for a half inch laceration to the left side of his chest, under the breast area. The wound was considered not life threatening and did not require any sutures.
