Man Fatally Shot in Tutu Housing

A 26-year-old man was shot and killed and a minor female was wounded Tuesday night in the Tutu housing community, the V.I. Police Department reported.

According to detectives from the Major Crime Bureau, officers responding to a report of shots fired found Kenroy Davis in the vicinity of Building 14 unresponsive with gunshot wounds to his body.

It was the fourth homicide on St. Thomas since the beginning of the year, the ninth in the territory.

Police had been called to the scene of the shooting just before 9:30 p.m. Davis was found in the parking lot and the minor female victim, with a gunshot injury on her lower back, was also located in the same area.

The female was taken by ambulance to the Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Officers investigating the crime said Davis may have been involved in an altercation before being shot. Major Crime Detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in providing information regarding the incident.
