Valborg Leona Hansen Dies at 88

Valborg Leona Hansen Valborg Leona Hansen died on Jan. 18 at the Herbert Grigg Home for the Aged. She was 88 years old.
She is survived by her son, Maurice Doyle; grandchildren: Maurice Jr., Mark, Karen and Carol Doyle; nieces: Shirley O’Reilly, Dorothy Horsford, Delita M. Civil, Glenda Hansen, Sonia Joseph and Claudette Philameno; and nephews: Morris D. Moorehead, Warren D. Briscoe MD, Wesley Jr., Robert, Richard, Chris, Gene, Eddy, Henry and Niels Hansen.
She is also survived by great nieces: Michelle and Cheryl O’Reilly, Tresa M. Civil, Sandra and Nicole Horsford, Emma-Lisa M. Clarke, Patrice Hooper, Denise Simmons, Aileen, Kalila and Monique Moorehead, Cehara Briscoe, Denise Towers-Meyers, Lisa Towers and Valencia Towers-Randle.
Other survivors include great nephews: Terrance, Glen Jr., Michael, Tyrone, Shomari and Jarel Moorehead, Kalek, Karim and Ajhi Briscoe, Leroy and Lenny Williams, Hiram Jr., Elvis, Fabian, Shawn and Michael Towers; daughter-in-law, Joan Doyle; sister-in-law, Bettye R. Hansen; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Peter’s Rest. Interment will be at Christiansted Cemetery.
