Bertram Llewellyn Irish, also known as "Irish" or "Eddie," died on Sept. 13 at Schneider Regional Medical Center. He was 65 years old.
He is survived by his spouse, Evelyna Irish; daughters: Augusta and Francisca Mathurin; son, Linus Mathurin; brothers: Thomas, Richard and Joseph; grandchildren: Donasia Furlow, Qurane Mathurin, Jordan Willliams, Mashama Powell, Ashaki Powell, La’trae Powell, Meelawn and Leilani Mathurin; sisters-in-law: Delphina, Ednisha, Edgitha, Mary, Alice and Audrey Mathurin; brothers-in-law: Clement, Gregor, Roland and Als Mathurin; aunt, Veronica Roach; cousin, Alexia McDiarmed; special friend, Joyce Kanu; and special niece, Jennifer Allen.
He is also survived by Glorene Warren, Williestena Jacobs, Delrita Jacobs, Vanessa King, Scharould Peterson, Rawlina, Claudelle, Delma, Shawn and Alexia Mathurin, the Irish family, the Mathurin family, the Roach family, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, at Shiloh Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment will be in Eastern Cemetery.
