Detectives on St. Croix on Monday asked the community for help at they investigated the death of 17-year-old Rosalie Figueroa, who was found dead Thursday in a swimming pool on the north side of St. Croix.
Detectives are appealing to the community for additional information on who Figueroa was with and where she went after she left home Wednesday. Investigators said the girl left her home in the Lagoon Complex in Frederiksted at about noon. She was found dead 24 hours later.
It was the 15th homicide in the territory this year, the seventh on St. Croix.
Anyone who saw who Figueroa was with when she left home or in which direction she walked, if she got into a vehicle or used any other mode of transportation, or if she was seen between noon Wednesday and noon Thursday is urged to contact detectives, a news release from the V.I. Police Department said.
"Please tell what you know," said the statement issued by V.I.P.D Public Information Officer Melody Rames. "If you think the information you have won’t make a difference that may not be true, leave that up to police to decide. Please let police know everything so they can investigate this case fully."
