Missing Minors Back in Protective Custody

Two missing, runaway minors, 16 year-old Terrika Alexander and 16-year-old Rasjahida Escobar, have been located and taken into police custody, the VIPD Youth Investigation Bureau announced Monday.

Detectives said on Sunday a concerned citizen told them Alexander and Escobar were seen together in Estate Glen. Officers immediately canvassed the area and located the two minors, according to the statement from the V.I.P.D.

Detectives turned the minors over to the custody of the Department of Human Services Youth Rehabilitation Center in Estate Anna’s Hope.

"The department is very grateful to the citizen who reported seeing the missing/runaway girls and made it possible for police to bring them back into protective custody," the police statement said.
