Denfield L. Gomes Sr. of Estate Mary’s Fancy died on Feb. 18, at his residence. He was 73 years old.
He is survived by his daughters: Patricia Gomes and Denise Gomes; sons: Denfield Gomes II and Fidel Gomes; grandchildren: Kaishma Drummond, Jamal Drummond, Kareema Bartley, Karis Bartley, Murchtricia Charles, Treyvon Gomes, Malik Gomes and Jedaya George; great-grandchildren: Mahki O’ Bryan, Kasia O’ Bryan, Kakarri Baptiste and London Drummond; son-in-law, Alexis George; sister, Elderina Charles; brothers: Hesketh Gomes, Wilson Arrindel and Curil Arrindel; sister-in-law: Gwendolyn Gomes; and brother-in-law: Anslem Charles.
He is also survived by nieces: Charlene Charles, Desiree Charles, Cicely Gomes, Tracy Gomes, Cherise Gomes, Dornette Henry, Thamrah Petersen, Olivette Gomes, Afton Martin and Maria Beck; nephews: Stephen Beck, Larry Charles, Rowan Gomes, Corey Gomes, Michael Petersen, David Henry, Dayton Martin, Vaughn Gomes, Lionel Gomes, Jr. Oliver Gomes, Sheldon Gomes and Collin Gomes; great niece, Aanyiah Lambert; cousin, Valarie Combie; special friends: Elaine Gomes, Mary Parker and Verna DeGannes; as well as great nieces, great nephews, cousins and other relatives much too numerous to mention.

A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 11, at the Central Seventh-day Adventist Church.
