Crime Stoppers Needs Your Help

Crime Stoppers is asking your help to solve the following crimes. If you know something, say something, as law enforcement cannot control crime without the help of the community.

St. Croix: On Monday January 9, at about 8:00 p.m., 27-year-old Manuel Alfonseca Jr. was shot several times in the area of Building #1 of Paradise Housing Community. Mr. Alfonseca died as a result of the shooting. According to police information, a 23-year-old male was also shot, but survived.

St. John: On Friday February 3, at approximately 2:45 a.m., two visitors in the area of Mongoose Junction agreed to give a stranger a ride to the Westin in their open Jeep. In the area of Caravan Automotive store, the man asked to be dropped off. He then produced a knife and a pitch fork and demanded money. One victim gave him $20.00. The other victim exited the Jeep and ran westward in the direction of EC Gas Station. The suspect chased him to the gas station where he robbed him of $250.00 and a black AT&T Pantech 7040 cell phone. The suspect is described as a black male with a slim build, approximately 5’9"-6’0", who was wearing a white baseball cap, white shirt, and dark jeans at the time of the crime.

St. Thomas: On Saturday January 28, at 10:22 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of Mountain Top Shops. On arrival, police found a black male lying face down in the Solberg area adjacent to the roadway. He had been stabbed several times and showed no signs of life. An hour later, at about 11:35 p.m., police responded to a vehicle fire adjacent to the Taxi Association in Contant. It was later discovered that the vehicle belonged to the murdered male.
