Charles Ethelred Penn Dies at 64

Charles Ethelred Penn
Charles Ethelred Penn, better known as “Charlie" or "Uncle Buddy,” of Tortola and St. Thomas died on March 6, at the age of 64.
He is survived by his wife, Millicent Penn; children: Troy Penn and Tishawn Penn; stepchildren: Ronford Todman, Wayne Todman, Shaè Todman Callwood, Denford Callwood, Laura Trotman, Anique Herman, Raynelle Isaac and Raymond Isaac; special friend: Yvette Hermon; grandchildren: Amir Penn and baby girl Penn (born March 3, 2011); sister: Doris Penn Rymer; brothers: Cecil Penn, Franklin Penn Sr. and Walter Penn Jr.; brother-in-law, Lorie A. Rymer; and sisters-in-law: Rita Penn and Anna Penn.
He is also survived by aunts: Florentine Woods, Ella Smith and Adina Smith; uncle, Harold Smith; nieces: Mauricia Penn, Yvonne Penn Jones, Enid Penn Charles, Avnel Penn Joyles, Annette Penn, Pamela Rymer-Trumpet and Sheezena Penn; nephews: Franklyn Penn Jr., Darron Penn, Alston Penn, Samuel Rymer and Shazam Penn; special friends: Corbet Wheatley, Douglas Wheatley, Linton Wheatley, Colliston (Tortola) George, Ashbel Lettsome and Aubrey Gordon; Uncle Buddy Gang, Dr. Allah, Jay Diggs, Alvin Swan, Lelan (St. Thomas), Gabrielle, Orlando Cruz, Benito and Caroline Dawson, Norris and Delita Penn, Cresida Archibald, Maleen Peters, Patrick, Neville Donovan, Harold Rabsatt, aka “Pan Handle,” Dahlia Percival, Ezme Callwood, Barbara Hermon, Y. Laurie Milliner, Joan Williams and Claudette Middle Brooks; Ms. B.J. Elaine and group, Loretta, Louise, Ann and Debbie (Connecticut).
Other survivors include 18 step grandchildren; special step grandchild Ajaynia Rivera; and three great-grandchildren
The viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. A second viewing will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, at Church of God (Holiness) Major Bay, Tortola, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Greenland Cemetery, Tortola.
