Sorority Holds Impact Day of Service

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., St. Croix chapter, has designated March 12 as its Impact Day of Service. On this day, Deltas around the world will focus on uplifting the black males in their communities by giving them a sense of purpose and responsibility. This focus supports the sorority’s national EMBODI (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence) program, which was designed to refocus the efforts of the sorority, along with the support of other major organizations, on the plight of African-American males.
The St. Croix Alumnae Chapter, along with fraternities on island, will lend a hand in the Community Center Beautification Project at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, at the Joseph E. James Terrace Senior Home (across from Island Center.
