For those who wish to strengthen their family’s sustainable lifestyle, create a food-based community project or learn the art of mentoring, the V.I. Sustainable Farm Institute is offering two intensive programs this winter at Ridge to Reef Farm/VISFI to help them succeed. The programs are as follows:
Permaculture Design Certificate (Jan. 17-29) With Brian "Busha" Green, Nate Olive and others learn how to create sustainable landscapes that are fair for people and the planet. In the process, participants gain a world-recognized certificate (PDC) while being challenged to complete a group project based upon lectures and hands-on experiential learning projects that make tangible impacts for St. Croix’s food security while they learn.
Art of Mentoring (Jan. 30-Feb. 5) This is a mentoring journey from observation to practice through the fundamental elements that make up healthy village relationships. While global in scope, it is local and authentic in application. It is musical, flavorful and powerful. Join global mentoring icons Jon Young, Mark Morey and Evan McGown for this healing event for the modern world, rooted in indigenous tradition and lore.
