“Waves of Change” Book Launch to Be Held at Yacht Haven Grande

There will be a senatorial launch of the resource book “Waves of Change: A Resource for Environmental Issues in the U.S. Virgin Islands,” a UVI Center for Marine and Environmental Studies (CMES) Sergeant Marine Outreach Program publication, from 3:30-5:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Wikked, Yacht Haven Grande.
The event is sponsored by the Sea Grant V.I. Marine Outreach Program, Yacht Haven Grande and VI-EPSCOR. This is a networking session for environmental agency officials, V.I. senators and governmental officials. The purpose of the book is to provide succinct natural resource information for decision makers and build partnerships between legislative officials and governmental agencies that work in the environmental sector.
“Waves of Change” provides information about coastal planning, water quality, wastewater management, solid waste management, wetlands, coral reefs, protected areas, fisheries management, and threatened and endangered species.
