March 10, 2009 – Ernestine Nesbitt Cowger, also known as "Stine," of Herbert Grigg Home for the Aged died on March 4. She was 73 years old.
She is survived by family and friends: Douglas Nesbitt and family, Odelia Nesbitt and family, Hyacinth Nesbitt, Gertrude Davenport, Dorcas Johnson-Crane, Almira McIntosh and family, Calvin Perkins, Alvin M. Milligan, Eulalie Petrus, Asta Gaillard, Lucille Cook, Dorothea Jackson, Ignatius Jackson Jr., Terri Sealey-Monell, Christian Messer, Rodney McIntosh, John Latimer, Clarence Michael; and Leola, Lawrence, Anthon, Kenneth, Bradley E. and Charles Christian; Vernamae Doward, Clement Doward, Josephine Bruce-Wiltshire, Dawn Bruce-Fought, and Magda, Debra, Magaret, Joseph, Wayne, and Samuel Bruce; Judith Milligan, Edward Stevens, Glen Miller, Colleen Roberts-Clarke, Nicole McIntosh-Christian, Neal Barnes, Herman Petersen, and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, March 17, at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Frederiksted. Interment will follow at Frederiksted Cemetery.
