American Counseling Association to Hold Annual Conference

The St. Croix Chapter of the American Counseling Association of the Virgin Islands will hold its annual Professional Development Conference from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 27, at the Divi Carina Bay Resort. The theme is "Helping Professionals: Preparing Tomorrow's Leaders Today," and the keynote speaker will be Frederick Phillips, Ph.D., who is the founder of the Progressive Life Center and a former president of the National Association of Black Psychologists,
Additional topics: Wellness: Taking a Holistic Approach; and Collaborative Relationships: School Counselors and Non-School Mental Health Professionals Working Together to Improve the Mental Health Needs of the Community
Registration cost: members…$60; non-members…$75; retirees and students…$50. The cost of registration includes lunch and continuing education units. Participants must remain for the entire conference to receive CEUs.
