Agricultural/Food Fair Competitions Will Be Held

The 2007 St. Thomas-St. John Agriculture and Food Fair invites Island cooks to bring out their best tasting maubi drinks, sweetbreads and ital dishes for a competition. It will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17 and Sunday, Nov. 18, on the grounds of the Reichhold Center for the Arts, on the St. Thomas campus of the University of the Virgin Islands. The top three winners will be chosen in each category. Prizes of cash and ribbons will be awarded.
Individuals who wish to participate in the competition must register by Monday, Nov. 12, with Faye James of the V.I. Department of Agriculture, a co-sponsor of the fair. To register, call James at 774-5182.
