Education Personnel Reminded to Submit Notices of Intent

July 3, 2007 – Personnel who anticipate their departure from employment with the Department of Education prior to the opening of the 2007-2008 school year, and who have not yet submitted notices of their intent to depart, are required to do so should they decide not to return to service, according to a press release from Education Human Resources Director Alscess Lewis-Brown.
Brown said, "As the department works aggressively to coordinate staffing for the upcoming school year, it is imperative that we have accurate figures relative to any specific needs or shortages. Therefore, all administrators, teachers and school-based employees are asked to submit their Notice of Intent, in writing, to their respective district Human Resources Office at once.
Letters can be mailed to or dropped off at any of the HR offices. Mail should be addressed to
