DPNR Offices on St. John Relocate

June 21, 2005 – Commissioner Dean C. Plaskett Esq. of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources announces the relocation of the Division of Permits office on St. John from the Julius E. Sprauve School in Cruz Bay to the new full service DPNR office on the third floor of The Market Place building in Cruz Bay. It will be open on Wednesday, June 22, 2005; however, the bonded cashier booth will not open until October; therefore, payments of all DPNR related fees, licenses and fines will not be accepted until that time.
In an effort to effectively serve the residents of St. John, special exemptions that allow the application and up front fees to be furloughed and eventually paid for upon approval will remain in effect.
Residents may continue to apply and submit Building permit related and Request for Inspection applications; however, residents may now also apply for and submit all other DPNR related permit applications such as Minor Coastal Zone Management permits and Environmental Protection Earth-change permits in accordance with the exemptions mentioned above.
