Voters Can Get a Ride From Coral Bay to Sprauve

Sept. 3, 2004 – If you're a Coral Bay resident who needs a ride to the Julius E. Sprauve School polling place to vote in the Sept. 11 Democratic primary, hop aboard the John's Folly Learning Institute shuttle.
It will leave from Guy Benjamin School in Coral Bay at 8 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 4 p.m. The shuttle will return from Julius E. Sprauve School to the Guy Benjamin School at 10:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 3:15 p.m., and 5:15 p.m.
Alvis Christian, who serves as director at the John's Folly Learning Institute, said that it is often difficult for Coral Bay residents who don't have transportation to get to Cruz Bay.
"We are making every effort to get people to the polls," he said.
While Coral Bay residents usually vote at the Guy Benjamin School, St. John's anticipated small primary election turnout means the Elections Board will only have voting machines at Sprauve School.
