CAR, PROPERTY STOLEN FROM TILLETT GARDENS LOT

Four people were robbed at gunpoint and their car stolen Saturday evening in the parking lot of Tillett Gardens.
According to a statement from police, Thomas Drotar reported that a man in a white T-shirt and wearing a red bandana over his face stole their vehicle plus a camera, groceries and several hundred dollars in cash.
No one was injured, police said.
Tillet Gardens was the scene of similar robberies in November, but none had been reported since then until Saturday's holdup.
At least one media outlet reported the incident as a carjacking, a federal crime involving commandeering another's vehicle with persons still in it, effectively kidnapping them. Police spokesman Sgt. Annette Raimer said Tuesday night there was no carjacking at Tillett Gardens.
