SHE HAS YET TO SEE TIM TOUTING TOURISM ON TV

Dear Source:
I just wanted to let the people back in the Virgin Islands know that the Tim Duncan commercials don't seem to air in the Northeast. I live in Boston, and I have not seen one yet! I asked my relatives in Newark, and they said they have not seen any there, either. My question to the V.I. Tourism officals: Where are they airing?
I posted that question on the www.usvi-on-line.com chat board and got these responses: New York City's WPIX-TV has aired the spots late at night, around 11 p.m. or midnight. One person said, "I saw some athlete snorkeling." This person did not even know who Tim Duncan is – so much for the recognition factor!
Does the Tourism Department keep up with mainland local stations or cable operators to see if the commercials run when they are supposed to? Or do they just make a big deal at home in the V.I., but never run the ads?
Virgin Islanders are watching. We are not seeing. Are they airing?
I am a fan of the Travel and Discovery Channels. . . Nope, not there either. The Travel Channel showed the V.I. when one of its show hosts visited, but she went to all of the Caribbean islands.
Oh – there was a show on "worst vacations" that featured a couple who got caught in a hotel during Hurricane Marilyn. That should draw tourists!
BETJAZZ shows the St. Lucia Jazz Festival all the time. The Caymans, the Bahamas and Puerto Rico are on all the time. Are my St. Croix, St. Thomas and St. John there? Nope, but I'm still looking.
