Eleanor G. James, better known as Glory,” died on June 15 at her residence. She was 73 years old.
She is survived by her stepfather, Ashburn Steven (better known as Tata or Ashely); sister, Angela Isaac; sons: Ohanio (Keba) James, Robert (Wahilli) James, Kenneth “Kenya” James, Elwood “ Sticky” James and Glen (Kimba) James (adopted); son-in-law, Stephen Gyamfi; daughters: Annette James and Kataisch James-Gyamfi; nephew, Theran Blackwood; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces: Talyah and Kalyn Blackwood; great niece, Cairo Blackwood; and special cousins: Jimmy Callender and Brenda Benjamin.
She is also survived by special friends: Marilyn Moolenaar-Petersen, Alice Rey, Earl Vanterpool, Warren Wells and Manuelita Robles; numerous families and friends: to include the Willis, Isaac, Sprauve, Callender, Stridirons and Davis families, Walters, Stephens, The Caribbean Chorale and The East End Lions Club families.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a viewing on at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Monday, July 10, at St. Andrew’s Church. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 1.
