St. Thomas Man Injured in Shooting

A man driving on St. Thomas on Thursday afternoon was shot multiple times by unknown assailants, the V.I. Police Department reported.

Detectives of the Criminal Investigation Bureau were dispatched to the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Hospital at 3:30 p.m. in response to a report of a shooting. At the hospital, they found the victim being treated for the injuries sustained in the shooting.

The victim told police he was traveling west on Brookman Road when multiple shots were fired at the vehicle he was in. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the right side of his body.

No further details were available as of Thursday night.
