The body of 30-year-old Myron Royer was found Friday in the Bournefield area, dead from multiple gunshot wounds, the V.I. Police Department reported.
The VIPD said that at 7:15 p.m., the 911 call center received a report of a male lying on the ground with what appeared to be blood to the upper part of his body.
Units from the Richard N. Callwood Command along with units from the Investigation Bureau responded, where they found an unresponsive black male with multiple gunshot wounds about his body. The man was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency medical technicians. He was later identified as Royer.
This case is being investigated as a homicide. It was the 28th homicide on St. Thomas confirmed by the VIPD, the 39th in the territory.
