VIPD Hosts Third Annual Bike Coasting Competition

The third annual Bike Coasting Competition will be held on Saturday, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. along Queen Mary Highway (Route 70) near the Superior Court, the V.I. Police Department announced.

As VIPD continues its efforts to engage with community members, children and family
members are encouraged to come out to this biking event for a good time. This event is one way for adults to show the activities they once had fun doing, according to the press release.

“This is for children to have their show. There are children with talent that we don’t get to see… this is their time to shine”, said Uston Cornelius, deputy chief for the St. Croix district.

Individuals interested in signing up can contact Ms. TreVaughna London at 340-712-6062 or 340-712-6004. An avid cyclist or first-time rider? This thrilling cycling competition caters
to all levels of cyclists. Helmets are required for all participants, the press release stated.
