Dear Source:
I welcomed this article and the information. During the school year I work in Germany. Last year, when I was home in the USA for summer and some other plans had fizzled, I read an article in your paper about renovations at Chenay Bay. I spontaneously booked a cabin for two weeks. Mr. Barrios and all staff were fabulous. My vacation was incredible. I truly discovered a new feeling of relaxation and ease. I went snorkeling daily, watching turtles and multicolored fish. Yes, I saw myself more as the mermaid every day. It was my first vacation at a beach resort. I also saw other sites, including historical landmarks, with a friend, who lives on St. Croix. All, who saw the pictures after my return, were interested in visiting St. Croix.
We discovered that flights from the USA are easier to arrange, but only DELTA had a reasonably priced and tolerable connection from Germany through Atlanta. Most flights required an overnight stay to get here and two days to return. These extra four days are costly to the traveler. Better connecting flights would be an advantage. Maybe American Airline could create a better connection also. Advertising flights would be of help to the tourist.
Thank you very much for the information about your beautiful island. I am planning on another visit soon!
