Brief: Two Arrested In Smith Bay Murder

Sept. 8, 2008 — Police have arrested two men in connection with the four-month-old murder of Fritz Geffrard.
Austrie Isaac, 25, and Charmane Clarke, 36, were arrested on a warrant Sunday and charged with first-degree murder, police spokeswoman Melody Rames said in a statement released Monday.
The body of Geffrard, 49, a native of Haiti, was found just after midnight on May 18 near the Smith Bay ballpark. He had been shot several times.
Bail for Isaac was set at $250,000 and bail for Clarke was set at $100,000.
