Reparations Issue About Learning from the Past

Dear Source:
I agree with Bonny Corbeil. If there is not open and honest dialogue, then we cannot move forward as a united Virgin Islands.
Reparations is not about finger pointing. It requires the involvement of the entire community to understand past wrongs and work toward a solution to address current social issues that resulted from those wrongs.
The issues behind many of the social tensions in our community need to be addressed, as our descendants will suffer the consequences if we fail to do so. If you keep a cover on a boiling pot of water, it is bound to eventually burst.
